With his wife and partner Tobias Lopez by his side, Chef Epy Garcia opened EK Valley Restaurant in January of 2012, and opened the doors to the world to bring his passion for cooking, and his pride in his cultural heritage; introducing Culver City's diverse demographic to the colorful flavors for which he is well known for today. Nestled away amongst the eclectic style buildings of Culver City's thriving Arts District, you'll find a splash of orange that will draw your attention to EK Valley Restaurant. EK, which is an abbreviation for "Epy's Kitchen," in retrospect to the name of his first commercial food truck.

Certainly reflective of a family friendly environment rich in art and culture, when you walk through the door into EK Valley's dining area, you'll be quickly greeted by some of the most friendly and warm smiles, and most certainly by Chef Epy himself. Standing firm in his stance in keeping his family's values and traditional home-style Oaxacan cuisine, Chef Epy's menu is minimal in serving his country's signature dishes such as Clayuda; a local must-have favorite.

With over 40 plus years of preparing the delectable and colorful dishes of his beloved state of Oaxaca, Mexico; Chef Epy Garcia is truly proud and honored to share his food, culture, and personal success story with his regular and future patrons. Coming from a country rich in culture and famous for it's traditional family values, Chef Epy has traveled far and wide to bring his family's award-winning specialty Oaxacan dishes. These recipes have been passed on from generation after generation; cooking lessons you just can't acquire from any ordinary culinary arts school.

For the past 18 years since his introduction to the US culinary markets, Chef Epy has been exposed to a variety of culinary styles and flavors while serving as a cook for many of the Los Angeles area's diverse restaurants. Chef Epy quickly distinguished himself as an extraordinary chef in this vast array of food specialties. From then on, Chef Epy has had the privilege of preparing foods for an array of ethnic based establishments.

Aside from serving only the freshest ingredients and farm-fresh vegetables, Chef Epy personally selects the finest cuts of poultry, meats, and seafoods prepared daily. This is reflected in the explosion of mouth-watering flavors you'll find here. It is no wonder, EK Valley Restaurant is a personal favorite for many of the area's elite clientele and hollywood stars!
